1. What is Building The Vision?
Lifeline is a ministry God planted in Pastor Pepe Cervantes’s heart many years ago. Our vision for everyone is: Healing for the Body, Mind and Soul. “You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” Matthew 22:37. God has spoken and we have listened. Lifeline is moving forward with the construction of a building where we can congregate and help people achieve the vision God has planted in Pastor Pepe’s heart.
2. How Can I help?
You can partner with us in several ways. You can fill out a pledge card and help us Build the Vision. We have several contribution amounts as low as $100 up to $10,000. However, if God speaks to you and asks you to give a specific amount, don’t let our arbitrary numbers stop you. Every amount helps. Additionally, if you cannot help us monetarily, we will be seeking specific trades and crafts to help accomplish the goal. So if you are an electrician, plumber, architect, etc… please let us know if you could donate some time and/or effort.
3. Why has Lifeline taken so long to have its own building?
We have been asked this question many times. The reason was quite simple. We didn’t have a building of our own because God had not allowed us to have one just yet. However, GOD HAS SPOKEN and we have moved on HIS word and now we are on our way to fulfilling his promise.
4. How much will this building cost?
We do not have total costs just yet; however, we will break down the costs into several phases. We anticipate the 1st phase of construction to cost approximately $1.3 million. This should cover the exterior, roof, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, and other mechanical structures. This will prepare the building to continue with the interior construction, which will be a 2nd phase of construction, and followed by a 3rd and final phase.
5. Where is the new building located?
The new building is located in Harlingen at 2909 E. Grimes, near Loop 499. The building is almost 40,000 square feet and situated on 3 acres of land. The new building will require much work and care. In addition to the main sanctuary and amenities, the new building with have a children’s sanctuary for their own Praise & Worship as well as classrooms for teachings tailored to their grade level. We will also offer a SAFE check in/check out process for your children. Partner with us to help us achieve this vision.
6. How long with this process take?
This process will not happen overnight, but we believe as God has spoken, He will also provide the needs to get this done relatively quickly. If you look at history, though, God has moved in our lives VERY FAST! Lifeline is only 6 years old and God has already provided a facility to house over 1,500. So this process will occur over the next several months and may stretch into a couple of years. We will have a definite timeline as soon as we have a firm grasp of the plans and commitment level of YOU, the Lifeliners!
7. How long will Phase I last?
We are running the current phase until June 30th, which will be the break for the Sabbath. After that, we will start work on the building and get that done as fast as possible.
8. Does my commitment take the place of Tithes & Offerings?
NO. The Building the Vision Commitment is entirely separate from your tithes and offerings. Please understand, that while we are raising funds for the building of the permanent home for Lifeline, we must continue to congregate at the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium on a weekly basis. We must continue to pay rent, salaries, tasks, and other expenses to maintain current operations. We ask you to continue to support this ministry with your tithes and offerings separate from your building commitment.
9. How and where can I pay my commitment?
We have several areas to help you pay your commitment. There will be separate Building the Vision Chests located in the Lobby on Sundays. There will also be separate envelopes for this cause. Please use the designated envelopes for the Building the Vision funds. Additionally, an easier way to give is by using our text giving. You may text any amount you wish to give to (956) 365-2199. There is a one-time set up process and then it is as easy as sending a text, the next time you want to give. This is by far the easiest way to give to the building fund. We encourage you to use this texting solution. Please understand that your pledge can be paid off in 1 lump sum or in payments throughout this campaign until June 30, 2015.
10. What if I have more questions?
We have a specific team set up to help answer any further questions you may have. Please seek them in the lobby after every Sunday service. They will be wearing a “Building the Vision” shirt and will be able to assist you with any questions you may have.
Thank you for believing in this Vision and partnering with us! We bless you in Jesus name!
